Hip Mountain Mama Blog has a weekly Truthful Tuesday, where she lets her less than perfect moments air out. I love the idea. I think we all should share our dirty sinks more often. Bloggers tend to be fairly vain creatures, sharing our highs while glossing over the lows.
But damn, do we have lows.
Mine is the laundry.
This is the chair, covered in Saffron’s clothes, that has been like that since Friday. Today is Tuesday, and I still haven’t put it away. Laundry is my nemesis.
If you come to my house, unannounced, on any given day, you’ll likely see a pile of laundry waiting patiently in the chair, or on the couch. And if you don’t see it, that’s because it’s still in the dryer.
Or worse, on my bed blocking me from going to sleep without putting it up first. And yes, some nights “putting it up first” means moving it to the couch or the chair.

I should share my un-made bed. LOL It’s kind of a wreck right now. Too bad it’s not possible to do scratch and sniff. The towel hanging in our bathroom is getting a wee bit ripe and had to be thrown in the laundry… don’t you wish you could sniff it?

I am so grateful for my husband, who keeps me in clean AND folded laundry. I never had that on my own.
My real sore spot, though, is my kitchen. I freaking HATE cleaning the kitchen. Hate. It. I think the state of the kitchen causes the most disagreements in my marriage, by far.

I hear you on the laundry front. From where I currently sit I see two laundry baskets with clean folded laundry in them (it is only folded because my husband helped me), a chair with more laundry that needs to be hung, and down the hall is a full dryer. At least when company comes over I can just chuck it all in my bedroom and close the door!
