Finding Summer

Once there was a girl who had a neat little blog.

Except that the girl was actually a mom, and the blog was her attempt to be someone she’s not.

Sure, that lasted for a little while, but then she began to get cramped inside her self-imposed box. She was still a mom, and still believed/felt/wanted many of the same things. But she was also more than a mom, and began feeling like admitting it wasn’t heresy. Or, if it was, at least no one would be showing up at her doorstep with pitchforks and torches for saying so.

And so she grew, and changed, and felt a bit more comfortable to let her freak flag fly. Yet, that same old blog felt stifling and old. It still felt like a box she had to fit into.

So one night she broke out, created a new blog, and sighed a massive sigh of relief. And damn, did it feel good.
