Dawn asked me how my dreadlocks are coming along. Having dreadlocks has been an interesting experience. When I started them last April, I had no idea how they would turn out. I just hoped for the best and jumped in.
For the most part, they are dreading up nicely. The ends ares till very loose on several of them, but that is to be expected. I sty to keep the ends down instead of letting them ball up. It is my ain effort to keep my locks long rather than shortening up too much. There are plenty of lose hairs and frizz, but it will all work in with time.
Time is the one thing locks really need. They can twist and curve and wrap, but if you wait long enough they change. They shift and move and find their own place. They figure out where they want to go, and go there. They get knots and bumps, but they always work out. In time.

And aren’t children like that? And isn’t parenting? And all of us, making our way through life?

They look lovely so far, you have such nice thick hair for them. I’ve always coveted dreads but I’ know I’d wind up with just one sad little lock as my hair is very thin. They take such a long time, hang in there.
